Error In Prayer: Why Many People Pray And Failed To Get Answers From God || Apostle Johnson Suleman

Apostle Johnson Suleman: There are people that pray and they don’t get answers to their prayer and it bothers them alot and get them weary. And there is nothing that is termed a ritual like when we pray without answers. When you pray and don’t get answers, it is exercise done in futility.

The problem you must understand, it is not the prayer, it is the answer. We don’t have a prayer problem as Christian, we have an answer problem.

There are things we need to know before we pray or while we pray. 1 Timothy 2:8 God gives a command, “I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing”.

Isaiah 65:24, “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear”.

God is committed to answer the prayer of His people.

If God has given us these assurance, why don’t we see answers that we expect to see in our day to day life as believers.

One of the reason is PRAYING AND LIVING IN SIN. When you are living in sin, you can’t get answers to your prayers. There are things God can not do, no matter how you cry. Hosea 7:1, “Whenever I would restore the fortunes of my people, whenever I would heal Israel, the sins of Ephraim are exposed and the crimes of Samaria revealed. They practice deceit, thieves break into houses, bandits rob in the streets”.

Most times, when we sin, we open ourselves for attacks of the enemy. David said something which I considered very profound, Psalm 119:67, “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word”

In other words, my going astray out of God’s plan open me up for the affliction of the enemy.

You can’t make God sad and expected to be happy. When you are living a life God is not happy with, then definitely you can’t be happy.

Living consciously in sin and expecting answers to your prayer, is deliberately trying to defraud heaven.

Imagine a young girl believing to get married, she is fasting, she is praying. And in the midst of the fast and pray, she goes to any kind of sin.

Most of the things we seat back, and think we are actually innocent of, we are guilty!

Every man who prays and yet lives in sin, has made himself an enemy of God and the devil.
You are praying, the devil is not happy…
You are living in sin, God is not happy…

If the devil is against you, God will stand for you and if God is against you, there is nothing you can do.

If both God and devil is now against you, where are you going to hide? So, living in sin while you are still praying, there is no need to pray at all..

Sin is your greatest enemy. Until you turn from sin, it is not your turn for answers. When you turn from sin, you turn to answers.. Psalm 66:18, “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened”.

I am not trying to make you sin conscious, I’m here to let you know that you can actually overcome it..
There is no sin you can’t overcome. Don’t let the devil lie to you that these weaknesses is going to kill you
