REV. FUNKE FELIX ADEJUMO — THE FIRST ASSIGNMENT OF A WIFE TO HER HUSBAND.

The first assignment of a wife to her husband is submission, am referring to scriptural submission that begins from the book of Ephesians 5:22.

Don’t marry a man that you cannot submit to,
Don’t marry a man that cannot listen to you,
Don’t marry a man that does not value your opinion,
Don’t marry a man that dishonors you, and you cannot equally respect,
Don’t marry a man that respect you, and you equally disrespect,
Don’t demoralize your husband, don’t belittle him, he might be going through some storms now, but you still have to know him, because your husband is your Excellency.

Disrespectfulness begins with the way a man speaks to you, and also his body language.

Most times, we see a marriage that won’t succeed from the relationship stage, but because you want to be called someone’s wife, you will still continue that relationship till it reach to marriage, and because you want to marry by all means, you will still go with such relationship.

Don’t marry someone that always says he will change within some times, people don’t change in marriage, and marriage does not change an individual, rather it amplifies what people are.

Biblical submission means strength put under control, so husband, you shouldn’t treat your wife badly because you want submission. I have seen alot of men maltreating their wives, in the quest for submission.

Marriage determines whether you will make heaven, because there is no institution in this world where your Christianity is tried like the institution of marriage, so before you get married, look very well, so that you won’t go into a marriage that will make you to miss heaven.
